Question #4 Nov. 9th, 2010

Meditating of God's wonders and His Word elevates your thoughts. It sets your mind on things above. You are not bound to earthly wisdom, but have the music of majesty and lyric of our Lord filling your thought closet! When you find your mind wondering toward earthly things that distract you from God's wonders and Word, fix your mind on things above!

So what if we have to help our kids with homework? Or we have to focus our thoughts temporarily on a daily-life dilemma? Or what if we have to answer a sales call?

Does that mean we are ungodly? Post your comments on this topic. How does "Pondering" and "Treasuring" fit into our daily lives like in the examples above?

  1. We all have lives we have to live here on earth...we are wives, moms, co-workers, etc. But when we take time to be in Gods Word and meditate on Him and all of His wonders, it spills over into our daily life....and becomes a part of who we are.

  2. Yes, Michele I like your answer! I wish there were a "like' button on here like there was on facebook! Not complaining, though cuz at least we still can do this study together!

I like Jennifer's answer to this in the book too!
She said..."It just means you start paying attention to where your thoughts wander during the idle moments."
