I do fear the Lord and I do know that His truth is the only truth. In all honesty tho' when an untruth enters my thought closet, sometimes my first reaction is not to immediately focus on THE TRUTH, but what I feel. And when I do speak truth to my spirit, its not an immediate release from that negative thought (or feeling), but a continual "renewing". I wish I could just say, "Lord, I know your truth is...." and it was gone, but I have an enemy who has come to steal, kill and destroy and doesn't want me to overcome. Only by getting His word into my spirit, taking the time daily to read, study and pray can His truth be first and foremost in my mind. Satan has been defeated....I just have to walk in my victory!!
Yes! I have reverential fear of the Lord. As far as elevating most highly, I think we have to be careful and purposeful because our culture is CONSTANTLY blasting us with what they call truth. It is everywhere all around us. We don't even have to try to hear it or see it....we just do. We have to be very purposeful in the ways that we counter the bombardment from our culture. We have to make sure that we are getting God's truth in and around us everywhere and in every way. Not just on the weekends at church, it has to be a way of life. We have to do like the Hebrews were told to do in Deuteronomy 11.(18 Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 19 Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 20 Write them on the door-frames of your houses and on your gates, 21 so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth. ) In this way, His truth will be our truth, and will be the prevailing truth in our lives. The truth that has the most weight to it. The culture's truth will not win just by shear repetition. Our secret weapon is prayer and the Holy Spirit!
