Question #7

Friend, here is your lesson in ancient Hebrew for the day: a  miktam was most likely a musical notation or title for psalms of penance for sin. Do you find it interesting David told his soul to "awake" in the midst of a psalm potentially about his own sin?

Why do you think he did?

  1. He cried out for his soul to be awake so he would not fall into sin and he could walk in forgiveness, freedom and victory.

  2. We need our minds to be aware of potential sin, and our will to be strong in the Lord to stand against it, and our emotions not to aroused by it. He was smart to awaken his soul verbally!!
